Why did we choose red, black and green for the READING IS FREEDOM original logo? It's simple,  red is for the blood of Black people that has been shed for our liberation. Black represents the people. Green is for the land that our ancestors were stolen from and the land they built. The intent behind the READING IS FREEDOM brand was to remind the Black community in particular that reading has always been an integral part to our liberation and how we must get back to placing that high value of literacy in our families. This Tee in particular has been one of our best sellers because of the message being written in the iconic red, black and green colors.
